Engineer (Heavy Earth Moving Equipment)

• Responsible to ensure that fleet are repaired in time as per the priority laid down. Follow up on services, preventive maintenance schedules and Repair maintenance activities of the Plant / Equipment.
• Allocation of suitable mechanics to undertake the repairs and also brief them on expected time of completion of repair.
• Conduct Tool box talks to technicians on Safety and HSE policies and their compliance. Study the Inspectors report and explain to the Mechanics before proceeding with the repairs.
• Monitor repairs closely and ensure special attention to critical and priority cases.
• Close supervision of actual repairs and guiding the mechanics to ensure quality of repairs. Find Cost saving measures and adopt best practices at wherever applicable.
• Bring to the notice of Equipment Manager cases of misuse/ neglect.
• On completion of all repairs, ensure proper checks are carried out before and after work done. A thorough functional test is to be carried out before presenting to the Inspector for inspection.
• Ensure that spare part requirement plan is submitted well in time so as to avoid delays/ extra costs in procurement.
• Should be young and dynamic should be able to work in line the Workshop /site/ project demands
• Positive attitude and target oriented person
