Job Description

Adjust, connect/ disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand/ pneaumatic/ power tools.\

▪ Adjusting, maintaining, and repairing of work tools, equipment, machinery, and assist other workers with similar tasks.

▪ Assist in all site maintenance repair & services required.

▪ Checks fan belts, hoses, wiper blades and other safety equipment; checks radiators and batteries, checks water and antifreeze levels.

▪ Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.

▪ Cleans and maintains shop equipment and tools.

▪ Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints.

▪ Compete in heavy duty works including lifting, climbing, carrying of parts / materials required in order to complete the job.

▪ Conform to schedules/ timings as and when published by the Management.

▪ Consider a practice of safety as the first priority on all performed tasks.

▪ Consider cost effectiveness & time efficiency on all performed tasks.

▪ Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

▪ Drive vehicle with care and in cautious manner, friendly and helpful to the passengers.

▪ Ensure that the appropriate oil / lubricants are used for the different mechanical components.

▪ Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.

▪ Familiar with operation manual and procedures of changing tires.

▪ Good knowledge in all types of heavy vehicle like Mercedes benz.

▪ Identifying mechanical component performance problems via troubleshooting & diagnosis testing methods, also to provide recommendations towards problem resolution.

▪ Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.

▪ Keep the service vehicle in good running condition.

▪ Knowledge in engine overhaul of heavy vehicles like Mercedes benz and other heavy vehicles and assisting the senior mechanic.

▪ Knowledge in regular routine service and maintenance.

▪ Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.

▪ Maintains records of work performed and the need for future servicing.

▪ Monitors vehicle during operation and reports maintenance/repair requirements.

▪ Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.

▪ Operates hydraulic, electric & pneumatic tools / equipment, lifting equipment & miscellaneous hand tools.

▪ Operates various hand tools, including spray gun, sander, grinder, grease gun, hydraulic jack, welding tools, etc.;

▪ Perform complete overhauling of engines, transmissions, differential & final drive assemblies.

▪ Perform mechanical systems (engine, transmission, differential, final drive, suspension, steering, brakes) component installation, replacement, maintenance & repairs on the majority of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for light duty vehicles. ▪ Perform routine and preventative maintenance services as per company standards.

▪ Perform vehicle condition reports by conducting pre- and post-inspections according to the company standards.

▪ Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

▪ Performs wheel balancing & alignment on all sizes of tires.

▪ Safety awareness while on the job.

▪ To clean machineries and equipment on site during idle time.

▪ Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.

▪ Verify equipment / vehicle performance by conducting test drives / operation
