Position -Water Distribution Networking Project in Oman

QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil /Mechanical Engineering
Master’s Degree in Engineering is highly desirable

Experience (in Years): 20+ years’ experience in a Construction firm and strong experience in
managing high profile Infra structure projects.
Experience in managing construction of more than one water distribution network project to
the tune of 50- 100 RO Million is a mandatory requirement.
Experience in construction of HDPE/ DI transmission and distribution lines of various sizes.
Experience in construction of reservoirs, pumping stations, installation of equipment for the
WDN.
Knowledge in FIDIC Contract conditions and experience in managing projects under FIDIC
contracts.Job Content

  • Responsible for one or more projects of the similar nature.
  • Spearheading for successful execution of the Projects with agreed margins and time frame by
  • coordinating with all Internal & External Stakeholders.
  • Manage the project resources to achieve the targeted objective by implementing a variety of
  • project processes within the established budget in order to ensure technical and quality and
  • HSE compliance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic

  • Develop project strategies for timely execution within the budget, quality, safety and schedule.
  • Financial
  • Monitor, review and ensure finance receivables and related recovery activities are
  • completed on time for timely processing
  • Operational
  • Budgeting & Planning
  • Oversee the project in order to ensure proper adherence and timely completion of all
  • work orders as per agreed project terms &contracts and Client requirements
  • Review project execution from all reporting sections and give recommendations to
  • ensure best practices are followed and implemented at all project sites
  • Monitor utilization of assets, review asset performance and determine ways to better
    utilize assets available, identify new assets required or relocation of assets to ensure
    optimum asset utilization and valuation
  • Coordinate with management and all the departments by integrating all the relevant
    information to ensure effectiveness in all the operations.
  •  Review generated MIS reports as per the management request to ensure the
    management is well informed.
  •  Review and approve policies, process, systems and standard operating procedures
    pertaining to business operations and their adherence to ensure that policies,
    processes and systems are followed by all staff personnel
  •  Ensure the Heath, Safety & Environment standards are followed as per the required
    HSE standards.

People Management

 

  • Managing the organization’s resources effectively, ensures that the company has the
  • best personnel to complete job tasks.
  • Monitor the performance of the entire team to ensure the desired output is acquired or
  • else make necessary recommendations for the deviations.
  • Handle conflict amongst the team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Initiate training programmes for the employees to enhance the image of Galfar
  • employees.
  • Train, Coach, Guide & Develop the manpower for the desired output to ensure high level of efficiency.

Stakeholder management

 

  • Coordinate Client, The Engineer and other stakeholders of the project related to the
  • day-to-day activities of the project.
  • Coordinate with the management and other department of the organisation.
