Production Engineer ( Offshore Fabrication) -Steel Works

Production engineer ( Fabrication) provides technical and tecnolgical problem solving ability of production engineering process and planning abilities in order to lead work teams and control production process for executing work to high quality & auditable standard that is consistent with contract work scope, statutory & code requirement, integrated management system (IMS) procedures, design parameteres, welding procedure specifications, stress inputs and vendor data. Producting Engineer will be responsible for all the staructural fabrication side of a projects espeicllay offshore fabrication projects.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Responsible for all the fabrication related activities of offshore fabrication projects individually.

2. Study the project specifications, drawings, requirements, standard, construction details etc.

3. Planning of all project related activities.

4. Planning and calculating consumables,welding consumables, materials, procedures etc required for the projctes

5. Planning of man power required for the project based on the Tariff and calculation

6. Planning and coordinating with QSA for the welding process required and welder qualification

7. Developing the construction/fabrication methodlogy.

8. Prepare Risk Assessment based on the job details

9. Take care of the Safety and Quality related aspectsof the projects.

10. Closely montor the daily manpower allocation

11. Closely montior the job activities by subcontractor and ensure the progress.

12. Cooridnate with PMT team and planning team for monitoring the project progress and productivity. Ensure all are achieved as per plan.

13. Provide technical feedback to project team on contract requirements related to fabrication and welding.

14. Coordination with third party inspection for the project and issue work orders for inspections and / or testing.

– Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Welding /Metallurgical / Naval Architecture

. Any other qualifications with very good relevant experience also will be considered.

Experience:

1. Experience in offshore fabrication projects of structures like Top side, jacket, deck, platform, piles, modules etc.

2. Minimum 4 years of experience in similar role.
