Our client manufactures complete range of LV Switch Boards ,MV Switch Boards and Control & Relay panels and has the capability to design & produce low & medium voltage panels. Our client Product range include -LV Switch Boards – F4, F3 & F2, MV Switch Boards, Main Switchboards (Fixed / Plug In/ Draw out),Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) / Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Panels, Synchronizing Panels ,Automatic Power Factor Correction Panels ,Metering Panels ,Feeder Pillars ,Lighting Control Cabinets ,Distribution Boards ,Control & Relay Panels ,VFD Panels (Artificial Lifting Panel)

Job Summary:

The LV & MV Switchgear and Control Panel Manufacturing Production Engineer (Electrical) will be responsible for overseeing the design, assembly, testing, and quality assurance of low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) switchgear and control panels. This role involves ensuring that all products meet electrical standards, performance specifications, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will manage the assembly process, handle equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the effective integration of various electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and coordinate production activities, including assembly, machining, or fabrication processes.

· Plan and organize production schedules, assigning tasks and priorities to production teams.

· Monitor production processes and equipment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.

· Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.

· Ensure compliance with production schedules, deadlines, and quality standards.

· Assist in the design and development of LV and MV switchgear and control panels.

· Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and schematics to guide assembly and installation.

· Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions for customer-specific requirements.

· Ensure the panels comply with national and international standards (IEC, ANSI, UL,

· Oversee and manage the assembly of switchgear, control panels, and related equipment.

· Supervise the installation of electrical components such as circuit breakers, bus bars, transformers, fuses, relays, switches, and wiring.

· Handle and assemble complex electrical and mechanical components within the switchgear.

· Ensure that wiring, cabling, and connections are properly executed, with proper insulation and protection.

· Integrate PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and other automation devices in control panels as required.

· Collaborate with the commissioning team to ensure smooth installation on-site and resolve any issues.

· Implement quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications.

· Review and validate the materials and components used for production, ensuring they meet technical standards.

· Inspect finished products for conformity to the approved design and compliance with international standards.

· Monitor the efficiency and safety of assembly procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to.

· Coordinate with the quality assurance (QA) team to identify and resolve any quality concerns.

· Work with project planning engineer to ensure the timely delivery of switchgear and control panels.

· Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, logistics, and sales to ensure materials and components are available on time.

· Assist in the preparation of manufacturing schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines.

· Maintain detailed records of assembly, testing, and quality assurance procedures.

· Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including assembly instructions, packing list, work order and punch point list closing.

· Document any deviations or issues encountered during the manufacturing process and recommend solutions.

· Provide regular status updates to management regarding production timelines and project progress.

· Identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and quality.

· Stay updated with advancements in electrical equipment, standards, and technologies to introduce best practices.

· Support R&D initiatives for new products or improved designs to meet evolving

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical standards, and environmental guidelines during the manufacturing process.

· Participate in safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation measures.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safe handling of electrical components and assembly.

· Provide technical support to clients and contractors regarding product installation and operation as and when required.

· Address any issues related to the performance or functionality of the switchgear and control panels.

· Assist with troubleshooting and technical queries during post-manufacturing or on site commissioning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,

· Experience: Minimum: 6 to 8 years of experience in the Switchgear manufacturing of LV & MV switchgear, control panels and preferably simens S8 Panel, ABB Artu K Design Panels.

Technical Skills:

o Strong understanding of electrical standards and codes (IEC, ANSI, UL).

o Experience with electrical schematic and wiring diagram interpretation.

o Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and automation technologies.

o Familiarity with CAD tools for design review (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

o Proficient in the use of electrical testing instruments such as mustimeters, insulation resistance testers, and hipot testers.

 Soft Skills:

o Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

o Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with AutoCAD Electrical for control panel design.

· Certification in electrical safety standards added advantage (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA).

· Hands-on experience in the assembly of MV/LV switchgear.

· Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems. Working Conditions:
