Piping / Mechanical Inspector (Oil & Gas) 

Qualification & experience:

1. Shall be a Graduate Engineer/Diploma in Mechanical/ relevant discipline.

2. Shall have minimum of *8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas facility construction.

3. Certifications or thorough knowledge of related industry codes & standards such as API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspection), API 570 (Piping Inspection), and API 653 (Above Ground Storage Tank Inspection)

4. Certification in CSWIP 3.1 / AWS for welding inspection or equivalent and Certified to ASNT level II/PCN in RT, PT, MT and UT techniques shall be considered as added advantage.

5. Certification as Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015 / equivalent QMS (IRCA Registered or equivalent QMS) shall be desirable.

6. Knowledge on pressure vessel codes/ construction codes/ material specifications.

7. Knowledge on Rotating equipments/Static equipments receiving inspection /installation inspection and related specifications/ material specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities (minimum

1. Develop ITP/QCP/Method statement for installation & testing of static/ Rotating equipments/piping

2. Implementation of QA/QC activities in accordance with approved QCP /ITPs and Procedures, method statements and other contract documents.

3. Check and inspect rotating/static equipment/ piping and/or components to ensure they meet project requirement.

4. Check mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for proper alignment and functioning

5. Participate in line walk/ punch listing.

6. Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points

7. Liaison with Client representatives on matters related to Quality.

8. Maintaining records of calibration, inspection and testing equipment.

9. Maintaining of Quality records & preparation of Hand over package/ dossiers.

10. Assists in Auditing - internal and external, and follow up of Corrective Actions (internal & external).

11. Reporting Quality activities, monitor performance indicators.

12. Provide sufficient feed back to QA/QC Engineer on the day to day quality issues.
